Overview
TSH Design today inaugurated its newest creative studio in the heart of Milan's prestigious Brera Design District, marking a significant expansion of the division's global footprint. The 1,200-square-meter space, housed in a meticulously restored 19th-century palazzo, will serve as TSH Design's European headquarters and creative laboratory. The studio brings together over 60 architects, interior designers, product designers, and creative strategists under one roof, creating a multidisciplinary hub that reflects TSH Design's holistic approach to the built environment. Milan was chosen for its unparalleled concentration of design talent, its position at the center of the global luxury market, and its rich tradition of craftsmanship and innovation.
Studio Design
The Milan studio itself is a testament to TSH Design's philosophy. Conceived by the firm's own architecture team in collaboration with local artisans, the space seamlessly integrates contemporary design interventions within the historic fabric of the palazzo. Original frescoed ceilings and terrazzo floors are preserved and celebrated, while modern insertions of glass, steel, and warm oak create a dialogue between past and present. The studio features a materials library showcasing over 2,000 samples from the world's finest suppliers, a dedicated workshop for rapid prototyping, and a gallery space that will host rotating exhibitions of design, art, and craft. Every element of the space has been designed to inspire creativity and facilitate collaboration.
Creative Capabilities
The Milan studio significantly expands TSH Design's creative capabilities, adding expertise in areas that complement the division's existing strengths in architecture and interior design. New practice areas include industrial design, allowing the firm to create bespoke furniture, lighting, and objects for its projects; brand strategy and art direction, offering clients a cohesive visual identity across physical and digital touchpoints; and landscape architecture, integrating outdoor spaces into the firm's holistic design approach. The studio is already engaged in several prestigious projects across Europe, including a luxury hotel in Lake Como, a private residence in the Swiss Alps, and the interiors of a flagship store for a major fashion maison on Via Montenapoleone.
Local Integration
A key aspect of TSH Design's Milan strategy is deep integration with the local creative ecosystem. The studio has established partnerships with several historic Italian craftsmanship workshops — specialized in marble, wood, glass, and textiles — ensuring that TSH Design's projects draw on the extraordinary artisanal heritage for which Italy is renowned. The studio will also host a residency program for emerging designers, providing mentorship, resources, and a platform for innovative work. This commitment to nurturing local talent reflects TSH Holding's broader philosophy of creating value that extends beyond financial returns to encompass cultural and community enrichment.
